Matching Grants
What is a matching grant?
Matching grants are a type of funding where an organization pledges to match, either fully or partially, the contributions made by another party. For example, if a donor pledges to provide a matching grant of $10,000, any contributions made by another party will be matched by an additional $10,000 from the donor, effectively doubling the impact of the contributions.
At times, organizations will receive matching grants from the Christ Foundation as part of our partnership with them. We endorse these organizations and their missions, and if you're seeking a cause to support, you can find a list of the organizations we partner with below.

Heritage Christian School “Our Heritage family extends beyond our walls to our community partners who make Heritage Christian School the premiere choice in Canton, Ohio for academic excellence grounded in Christian education and values.” You can double your dollars to help teachers! Recently, The Christ Foundation provided us with a unique and generous way to help supplement our teachers’ salaries through a matching grant. For the next three years, all donations received through this program will be matched by the foundation dollar for dollar up to a maximum of $50,000 per year. |

Hartville Migrant Ministry “We are here to serve the needs of the migrants through our Christian ministry.” The Christ Foundation is matching every dollar raised towards the dental and vision programs up to $10,000. |

Chestnut Mountain Ranch “Christ-centered home and school reaching the hearts of young men and restoring broken families through a structured, loving community.” Support the work of restoring hope in children’s lives. The Christ foundation is matching every dollar raised for salaries in 2023 to cover the budget for 2024. |

North Canton Cares Pantry “Here at North Canton Cares Pantry, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in helping provide food to individuals and families who have a need in North Canton, Ohio. We strive to build relationships without guest and do all we can to serve them.” The North Canton Cares Pantry is raising money to expand their offerings by launching a Student Summer Meal Bag program that will provide weekly meals of breakfast and lunch to our local students challenged with food insecurity this summer. The Christ Foundation has partnered with us to offer a matching grant of $15,000. |

Lake Township Fish “Lake Township FISH has been helping neighbors in need since 1972. We are supported by local area churches, business, and individuals. Together, we work to assist families with food insecurities and others facing eviction or utility shut-offs.” The Christ Foundation will match the dollars raised at the 16th Annual Benefit Dinner & Silent Auction up to $15,000. |
